PROGRAM
Day 1
After your arrival, you will have a traditional Georgian dinner and a good rest after a long journey to Svaneti region.
Overnight in Mazeri.
Day 2
After breakfast in the morning you will go for a hike to Ushba glacier. Along the trail you will see the beautiful Shdugra waterfall. The trail isn’t technically difficult, but it is long and with significant elevation changes (1000 m), so you really need to be in good physical shape to enjoy it. Delicious dinner will be served in the evening at the same guesthouse.
Distance: 24 km. Duration: 10 hrs. Overnight in Mazeri.
Day 3
After breakfast you will be transferred to Mestia, where you will have a relaxed day. There are different trails we can suggest you take or you can choose sightseeing in the Town and visit museums to get familiar with the traditions and culture of the Svaneti region. Delicious local dinner and overnight in a guesthouse in Mestia.
Transfer: 30 min. Overnight in Mestia. Optional Masterclass.
Day 4
After breakfast you will be transferred to a trail start of Chalaadi glacier. This beautiful and undemanding walk will take you through the forest to the foot of a glacier. After the walk you will be transferred to Adishi village (2,040 metres above sea level). You will have a delicious dinner in the evening and good night rest in the local guesthouse.
Distance: 5.0 km. Duration: 3 hrs. Transfer: 1 hr. Overnight in Adishi.
Day 5
After breakfast you will go along the path towards village Khalde. You will cross the river and use horses for that. On the way, you will see and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of Adishi glacier and its surrounding. You will meet a car in the village Khalde, which will transfer you to the Ushguli community. You will have dinner, rest and overnight in Ushguli.
Distance: 15 km. Duration: 5-6 hrs. Transfer: 30 min. Overnight in Ushguli
Day 6
After breakfast, you will take an easy day walk to the foot of Shkhara glacier and springs of Inguri river. You will walk the same way back, have a traditional Georgian dinner and overnight in Ushguli.
Distance: 20 km. Duration: 6 hrs. Overnight in Ushguli.
Day 7
After breakfast you will be transferred back to Mestia and have one last day for exploration, souvenir shopping or relaxation in the beautiful mountainous town. Dinner and overnight in Mestia.
Transfer: 1.5 hrs. Overnight in Mestia. Optional Masterclass.
Day 8
After breakfast, departure.

“Last week was my first experience with Camp Caucasus and first experience with mountain camping in general. In this case the organisers showed a high level of professionality organising these kind of camps. 1) organizational part was up to point; 2) organisers communicated with us properly before the camp to inform what to bring with us/what not to bring/what to expect/ what we will eat etc. in all aspects so I felt prepared; 3)in mountains we can never predict the weather percisely and I liked that organisers were open minded to change something in our scedual so we don't miss the most beautiful sights. 4) One thing I did not prepare myself was that the hiking in mountains was actually hard for me ( and I'm trained :), so be prepared physically.
