► We expect you to come with hiking gear (sleeping bag and cooking gear) and food for 3 days as you will be in wild all along. We send an exact list of gear to participants before registration, support, and advice. Let us know in advance if you need rent.

► Money for extra things in grocery stores, souvenirs or any other personal items.
► A daily backpack for essentials. If you do not have one, you can rent it out from us.
► With transfers from/to Tbilisi 450 Eur per person. Without transfers from/to Tbilisi – 315 Eur per person in 2-people group. The price varies according to the number of people in the group, transfer services, and the number of horse support. Get in touch with us to receive a price quote.
► There are no shops on the trail, only in Lagodekhi.
► The tour can be done on horseback, let us know in advance.
► A local porter will take you safely on the trail but he might not be fluent in English. A Professional English-speaking guide can be hired for an extra cost, please let us know in advance.
► Flight tickets are not included in the tour price.
From the morning this day, we hike 12 km through the forests and subalpine meadows, gain a height of around 1000m and stay in the first shelter for a night.
The next day distance – 16 km. Hiking through the alpine valley with breathtaking views towards the Black Rocks lake at 3000 m altitude. There’s a chance to see animals like deer, chamois, and wild goat; as well as various eagles, grouse, and other birds. The second shelter at 2800m altitude.
Trekking distance on the last day of the expedition – 15km, descending into the narrow gorges. Quite rocky and steep pathway, that follows rug terrain through bushes and long grasses.

We recommend packing light while ensuring you bring essential items such as sleeping mat and bag, sturdy hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and a daypack to carry everything. Note, that heavy stuff will go to horse. After booking your tour, you’ll receive a detailed packing list along with other important trip preparation details to help you get ready.
Yes, we provide full support to ensure your self-guided adventure is smooth and enjoyable. You’ll receive detailed trail descriptions, pre-arranged accommodations, GPS tracks, and a pre-departure information pack. Moreover, you will be accompanied by local horse porter, who in case of need will support you.
Our trails are safe, well-marked, and easy to navigate, with offline GPS maps accessible through our app. Many guests, including solo travelers, have completed this trek with confidence. If you prefer a private guide, we can arrange that as well. We collaborate with amazing professional mountain guides who will ensure a memorable journey, though availability is subject to your chosen dates.
If you’ve never hiked before or have concerns, we highly recommend starting with a guided adventures. This will allow you to gain valuable experience, learn how to handle different terrains, and develop basic navigation skills. You will be staying in mountain shelters with bunk beds. Facilities, including the water source, are located outdoors.
