While some of our trails are beginner-friendly, most require a good level of fitness, as you should be prepared to walk 6–8 hours per day. If you’re unsure, feel free to contact us. We’ll provide detailed information about trail difficulty and, if this itinerary isn’t a good fit, we’ll recommend the best options based on your experience.
Accommodations vary depending on the village. In most cases, you will have rooms with private bathrooms shared only with your roommate. However, in smaller villages, facilities may be shared with others, as private bathrooms are not available.
Mobile network coverage is generally available on most of the part of the trails, but the speed and quality can be inconsistent, especially in remote areas. Guesthouse Wi-Fi may not always be reliable due to heavy usage by other travelers, weather conditions, or technical issues with cell towers. Also, power outages are not uncommon, so it’s a good idea to bring a portable charger.
We recommend packing light while ensuring you bring essential items such as sturdy hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, and a daypack to carry everything. After booking your tour, you’ll receive a detailed packing list along with other important trip preparation details to help you get ready.
Just great! We felt very well looked after and were able to discover everything on our own. Excellent organisation. Many thanks for this incredible adventure. Kind regards from Germany
We did the Peaks and Valleys of Sveneti self-guided walk in June and it was spectacular. The wildflowers were in full bloom against snow-topped mountains and brilliant blue skies. There was also some afternoon thunder and rain to complete our experience (we had been forewarned – but the lure of wildflowers and fewer crowds made it well worth it).
Camp Caucasus is an absolutely amazing organization that provides and absolutely amazing and top quality service. They made what seemed like an impossible planning effort into an extremely thoughtful, efficient, and one-of-a-kind adventure.
